  • Complete software development within the specified development schedule and follow best SDLC practices.

Requirements:

The 8MS Software Developer position requires an individual with a strong software, technical, and engineering skills and interest.   The position involves understanding and using 8MS products at a detailed level, working with internal engineers to communicate and solve technical problems, managing and prioritizing multiple projects, and providing follow-up information.  Good verbal and writing skills are required.  

  • BS in Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience in the C programming language.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Java programming language.
  • Experience developing web-based user interfaces.
  • Linux Shell, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, SQL and HTML5.

Additional Skills:

  • Telephony Industry Experience – Toll-Free Provisioning preferred.
  • JSON, XML, Rest Based API’s and Single Sign On protocols (OIDC, SAML )

Software Deployment and QA Engineer

The Software Deployment and Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer will join the Operations team that manages the software deployment process and Operations QA.  The Software Deployment and QA Engineer will work closely with the Operations, Product Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to build deployment plans, define schedules, troubleshoot deployment and application issues, validate internal software releases, support customer testing, and deploy software releases to our lab and production environments.  The Software Deployment and QA Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Managing software deployment processes, plans and schedules

  • Interfacing with Operations, Product Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams
  • Reviewing new software features and changes to deployment process
