BRIDGEWATER, NJ – July 7, 2020 - iconectiv, an authoritative partner of the global communications industry, today announced that Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) has selected iconectiv’s Sharon Oddy, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, and Kim Carter, Senior Software Developer, to participate in the 2020 Rising Leaders Program. This is the fourth consecutive year iconectiv leaders have been chosen to participate in this highly competitive program and recognized for exceptional leadership and their commitment to rebuilding trust in communications.

Oddy and Carter will join other industry leaders for an immersion program that prepares them to undertake increased leadership responsibilities. Comprised of leadership analysis and skill development, the program helps participants create and manage their own personalized leadership development plans.

Oddy is responsible for overseeing iconectiv’s global marketing and communication strategy. This includes leading internal and external initiatives that highlight iconectiv’s industry influence, platforms and programs aimed at helping the telecommunications industry and businesses build stronger and more trusted communications. A seasoned professional with more than 25 years of experience implementing marketing communications programs in the communications industry, Oddy led the global communications strategy for Telcordia Technologies and contributed to social and digital communication initiatives at Verizon prior to iconectiv.

“I’m fortunate to work for a company that empowers its employees to make meaningful and long-lasting contributions that not only bring the company’s vision to life but also define and shape the future of the communications industry,” said Oddy. “The investment that iconectiv puts into its team defines the company’s culture – where every team member truly has a voice and an opportunity to rise to the level of accomplishment worthy of being named to the WICT Rising Leaders Program.”

As an experienced developer in the technology and communications sectors, Carter has more than 35 years of success developing and maintaining web-based applications for internal business units and corporate communications. In addition to mentoring and facilitating the hiring of quality driven talent for iconectiv, she oversees the design and implementation of test frameworks that validate a large-scale application that supports the company’s role as the Local Number Portability Administrator (LNPA) for the United States Number Portability Administration Center (NPAC). NPAC is the world’s largest system of databases of ported telephone numbers and consists of seven different regional databases, a significant undertaking for iconectiv.

“WICT provides a great opportunity to grow our professional capabilities, build strategic relationships and celebrate diversity in communications,” added Carter. “Along with my team, we have put forth a tremendous effort to support a number of iconectiv initiatives, including LNPA, and it is enough just to be nominated by colleagues. Selected to participate in the Rising Leaders Program and join other established leaders in the cable and telecom industry is truly an honor.”
Other iconectiv leaders who have participated in WICT’s Rising Leaders Program include Sangeeta Roy, Head of Technology Operations, Tara Flynn Condon, Director of Product Marketing and Loretta Graff, Director of Program Management.
