Responsibilities:
The Security Operations Analyst will be part of Security Operations Center team. Primary emphasis will be placed on daily monitoring and review of network, system, and application events to identify potential security incidents. This is an excellent opportunity for a person with computer skills and interests to enter the information security field and gain valuable career experience. Depending on the skills and ability to improve there will be opportunities within the team. The Security Analyst may be required to:

•Review potential infrastructure security incidents against corporate guidelines with management to determine if incident qualifies as a legitimate security breach
•Perform preliminary log collection and incident investigations, determining the cause of the security incident and preserving evidence for potential legal action
•Interface with technical personnel and other teams as required
•Initiate escalation procedure to counteract potential threats/vulnerabilities
•Appropriately inform and advise team leads and managers on incidents and incident prevention
•Document and conform to processes related to security monitoring
•Participate in knowledge sharing with other analysts and develop solutions efficiently
•Occasional after hours and weekend work
•On call when needed

Required Qualifications:
•2-4 years security experience
•Analytical and problem solving skills
•Ability to manage multiple tasks
•Working knowledge of IT technologies, ideally related to Security
•Working knowledge of Windows server and Unix/Linux operating systems
•Interest in Security, Network and Server Monitoring technologies
•Proficiency in written and spoken English
•Willingness to learn and improve.

Additional Skills:
•Knowledge of Networking protocols and technologies, e.g. TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routers, etc.
•Knowledge of Security principles, techniques and technologies
•Understanding the technical aspects of the Information Security
•Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
•Experience with Vulnerability scanners.
•Programming and scripting skills
•Basic Telecom industry knowledge preferred but not required.
•Ability to work in dynamic environment.
•Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
