Responsibilities:
Data Architect/Systems Engineer with responsibility to maintain more than one industry standard data (Common Language code set). This will involve driving code set evolution in advance of significant changes in the industry and caring for cross-code set impacts. A significant component will be customer training in industry standard data and the software system that maintains it. The right candidate will have a high degree of personal motivation, good leadership capability, and a strong personal work ethic encompassing eagerness to expand responsibilities and a can-do attitude.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
•Technical support for more than one Common Language code set.
•Participation in Industry Forums related to Common Language (e.g., TAG/IAB).
•Manage to tight timelines.
•Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

•Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Informatics or equivalent.
•Candidate should have an appreciation of communication networks, processes and systems.
•End User (Customer) interface experience required.
•Strong presentation skills are required for training and for reviewing code set evolution proposals with customers.
•Highly motivated team player.
•Exhibits relentless attention to detail.
•Self-starter that has the ability to work with minimal oversight and has organizational skills to define, execute, track, and refine project activities.
•Excellent communications skills, both oral and written, both technical and non-technical.
•Ability to manage technical, business, and sensitive customer issues through clear communications.
•Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and customer issues and devise solutions.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
•Travel will up to 10%

 

Additional Skills:
•Experience with Common Language Information Services is a plus.
•Experience with developing software tools and scripts for use in data analysis is a plus.
