This role requires substantial background and understanding of the Americas telecommunications industry and our business.
This key leadership role will continue the development of our sales delivery model through the capability development of our highly talented and motivated sales organization. Setting a vision and building strategic business decision-making capability to the next level will be a major factor for success in this position.


In this role you will be expected to establish a high-impact account management function which will contribute to the growth of our Information Solutions business and deepen our relationships with key customers. The role reports to the Global Head of Sales for Information Solutions.

You will be joining a newly-formed team committed to driving strategic routes to market and key partnerships to deliver iconectiv bookings and revenue with key customers.  Your role will be to lead this team – establishing account management best practices, defining goals, driving and instilling this behavior in 6 high-performance sellers and tracking/reporting performance.  You will also lead a programme to capture the ‘voice of the customer’ from key accounts.

We are a sales team focused on sales fundamentals. We will focus on bookings and pipeline performance, forecast accuracy and quality of relationships with key customer executives, in addition to:
•Establish iconectiv’s Account Management function within Information Solutions sales
•Define roles & responsibilities and operational process for the AM function
•Manage the AM function to meet contract renewal bookings target
•Manage the AM function to identify and qualify ‘new business’ opportunities for account executive overlay organization
•Establish a program to broaden customer relationships within target accounts and track customer intimacy
•Establish a program to capture the ‘voice of the customer’ from key accounts
•Track and report forecast bookings and performance to the global head of sales

•Team Development - Attracting, developing and retaining high-performance talent
•Building a Winning Capability and Leading Change - Strategically leading and influencing whilst focusing on contributing to the long-term success of the Information Solutions Sales Team.

Requirements:
You’re an experienced technology Account Manager with the ability to drive initiatives with telecommunications customers. The successful candidate will have the right blend of functional and technical knowledge of our existing solutions suite and a desire to use those skills to lead cross functional teams on large projects designed to shape our future success. Our ideal candidate will:


•Work closely with key internal stakeholders (sales teams, marketing, product management and technical experts) to use your expertise and create higher level impactful content that is targeted to a variety of audiences.
•Work with the Business units to understand their product and solution roadmaps
•Track general business indicators, including market share, competitor's marketing and sales program activities.
•15+ years of Account Management experience, with a minimum 5+ years of management experience.
•Experience of SFDC.
•As a resource, you have to be driven with an expectation of excellence. You must be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate and influence others. This is a must-have requirement of the role.
•Broad technology awareness with an understanding of emerging network technologies such as virtualization, cloud, software-defined networking and automation.
•Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically and effectively communicate vision (both written and verbal) and influence cross-functionally.
•An understanding of the Telecommunications Market Landscape
•A team player with the ability to collaborate, lead and work in a fast-paced matrixed organization.
•Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
•Comfortable collaborating with global/regional/local colleagues as part of a physical or virtual team.
•Travel within the US and internationally as needed.
